Cinderella Castle, the fairytale castle of Disneyland, works as the threshold of two Disney theme parks: the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort, and Tokyo Disneyland at the Tokyo Disney Resort.
The inspiration for building Cinderella:
The inspiration to built Cinderella Castle came from a castle known as “Alcazar of Segovia” situated at Segovia, Spain. The designer of this fairytale castle was the legend of Disney land, Herbert Ryman, who also took the help of his own famous creation the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disney Land, California in the creation of Cinderella Castle.
Inside the archway of this magnificent castle a series of five frescos describe the story of Cinderella. The splendid interior decoration was done by famous imagineer Dorothea Redmond and mosaicist Hanns-Joachim Scharff.
Most interestingly the Castle is prepared of ten inch thick reinforced concrete and fiberglass over a support of steel frame structure. Most of the exterior is a thick, very hard fiber-reinforced gypsum plaster which is supported by light gauge metal studs.

After each sun set, the castle is illuminated with 16.7 million colors with the help of LED lights, the beauty of the castle takes entirely a new form. Apart from that the castle plays a vital role in magic kingdom’s firework show.
Cinderella Castle invites the visitors to stay there at any time of the year. But during the Christmas with huge number of lighting the beauty of the castle becomes more attractive.
